Not being au fait with the True Crime genre, I approached Wedderburn with curiosity, a level of perverse voyeurism and fully expecting twists and turns, as the author shed light on the three horrific murders that took place in the tiny Victorian town. I emerged with with the truly humbling insight that, in real life, such violence and horror tears apart lives and communities. A chilling read.
