Our Database of books is compiled from three major databases from Australia, the US and the UK. These books are not all carried in stock & most will have to be ordered from the supplier. The notes on the status of each title will clearly indicate if the book is in stock and give an estimated delivery time.

These items are shipped from our Melbourne warehouse and are usually always in stock.

Delivery Times

Expected delivery times are displayed when a title is selected. Generally, titles in stock in Australia are shipped within 7-10 days of order (depending on stock availability). A further 10 days should be added for US and UK titles.

Pricing

Imported books are priced depending on the current exchange rate from the country of origin and include the cost of importation. Please note that the price of imported books bought in-store may vary slightly from the internet price due to currency variations between times of purchase. All prices are listed in Australian dollars.

All orders are subject to price and availability confirmation. If prices change, we will contact you prior to finalization of your order. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is shipped.

Search Tips

If you already know the title or author of the book you want type in the title, author's name, or, if you know it, the ISBN of the book, and then click on Search.

If you have no specific book or author in mind and you just want to browse through our extensive database of new books, then use our general search facilities. Here we offer you a number of different methods:

1. Go to the Browse new books tab at the side of the screen and click on the category that interests you. You can further refine your search by selecting a sub-category. There are over 3,000 categories, so we hope you find what you want.
2. Go to Advanced Search and follow the instructions.

For purchasing we have made every effort to make buying items from our store as easy as possible. Use the search facility to look up an item and once you have found what you want to buy, click on the link and you will be taken to a page devoted to that product. To place your order, click on "Add to Shopping Basket".

Please remember products from different delivery locations, on the same order, will be shipped separately and will have separate delivery charges

When you are ordering new books and bargain books: These items are shipped from our Sydney warehouse.

When you are ordering Gifts, Toys and Remaindered/Sale Books: These items are shipped from our Melbourne warehouse and are usually always in stock.

How to Check Out the Items in Your Basket

1. When you click on "Check Out", you are taken to your shopping basket. Here you can review your purchases and if necessary, make changes to your order.
2. If you decide you don't want to buy a particular title and want to take an item out of your shopping basket, Click on the "Delete" button next to the title.
3. If you want to change the number of copies you want to buy of a particular title, highlight the number in the "Quantity" box by left-clicking on your mouse, type in the number of copies you now require, and click on the "Update Basket" button.
4. When you are happy with your order and are ready to purchase your items, click on the "Check Out Now" button.
5. If you are a return customer, enter your Email Address and Password, and click on "Log In". Check that your personal details are correct. If you need to change anything, simply type the new information over the existing details. Your new information will be saved automatically. Select the delivery option you prefer, and then click on the "Continue with Order" button.
6. If you are a new customer, click on the "Create New User Account" button and enter the required information. This is where you will create your Email Address and Password, which will enable you to shop in future without having to type in your personal details again.
7. When you have completed the form, select the delivery option you prefer, and then click on the "Continue with Order" button.
8. Check that the "Billed To" and "Shipped To" addresses are correct. If you need to make changes, click on the "Back" button.
9. Select your credit card type and expiration date from the drop-down menus and enter your card number in the box. Click on the "I Accept" button.

Gift Wrapping

We are able to gift-wrap many of the books in our database at a cost of AUD $3.00 per item. This option is located within the checkout procedure. Simply select the wrap of your choice and we'll do the rest. If you want, we'll even include a personal message.

Please note that if you have multiple items within your order and you require gift-wrapping, all items have to be gift-wrapped. We do not offer item by item gift-wrapping within a single order.

Availability

Availability of books is generally shown once a book is selected. We will also endeavour to display the expected shipping time.

Back Orders

Occasionally books appear on the Marymartinbooks.com.au site that are currently unavailable or out-of-print. We hold your order on back-order until we hear from the supplier that it is unavailable. If that occurs we cancel your order and notify you by email. Please note that since we do not charge your credit card until we are sending the books there will be no charge on your credit card.

Shipping Options

Items are shipped from either of our Australian fulfilment centres located in Sydney and Melbourne. Books are shipped to Australian addresses via Australia Post and books shipped to overseas locations are shipped via Fedex. Books imported from overseas are imported into our Australian fulfilment centre by air freight.
Items being shipped from Sydney or Melbourne cannot be combined in the one delivery package.

Returns

Marymartinbooks.com.au will accept returns of books with a delivery note, within 30 days of purchase. Claims for damaged or misbound books and non-delivery must also be lodged within 30 days of purchase. If you have no packing slip, please return the book with a copy of the order acknowledgement email you received when placing your order.

If you were given the book as a gift, don't worry if there is no price on the delivery note, we can trace the amount paid.

Returned items must be in resaleable condition.

When returning items to our customer service centre, please indicate the reason for your return on the reverse side of the packing slip and include the packing slip in the box. For your protection, you may wish to send your return via insured parcel post. Please send all returns to:

Mary Martin Books cannot pay for return shipping charges unless we have made a shipping error. All returns, including any credits applied for return shipping charges, will be credited to the credit card used in the purchase. We will make every effort to process returned items within 7-10 business days. Please note that it may take 2-7 working days for your bank to post the credit to your statement.

Our Guarantee

We guarantee the book you purchase will reach you in good condition. If it doesn't or you are not completely satisfied with it for some other reason, please return the item to us (within 30 days of receipt) and we will replace or refund the full cost of the book. Shipping and handling expenses are not subject to refund unless the book was damaged or we shipped you the wrong product. If so, we will absorb the costs to send you the correct item. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Create an Account

To process your orders, we need to set up an account for you first. Having an account will enable you to place orders faster and more easily and to track your orders online. Your Email Address and Password are the keys to your Customer Account; they must be entered before any information can be accessed. You create your account the first time you go through the Check Out process. Here's how:

1. When you're finished shopping, click on the "Check Out Now" button.
2. As a new customer, click on the "Create New User Account" button.
3. Enter your personal details. These details are the minimum information we need to ship you your order correctly and to process your credit card. For your security, we do not retain details of your credit card with your personal information; rather, we require you to enter credit card information each time you make a purchase.
4. At this point you will also create your Email Address and Password. This will enable you to come back in future and shop without having to type in your personal details again. Make sure you keep your Email Address and Password in a safe place.
5. When you have completed the form, select the delivery option you require, and then Click on the "Continue with Order" button.

View Your Order

To review your past or pending orders:

1. Click on the "Your Account" link on the home page. This will take you to the Account Login page. Enter your Email Address and Password and Click on the "Login" button.
2. You can now view your past or pending orders. To get the details of an order, click on Order #. You'll be able to see which items have already shipped, when they were shipped, the method of delivery, and which items are still being processed.

Change Your Account Information

1. Click on the "Your Account" link on the home page. This will take you to the Account Login page. Enter your Email Address and Password and Click on the "Login" button.
2. To enter new information, delete the current entry from the relevant field, type in the new information, and click on the "Save My Changes" button.
